2019

  1. LTS granted “Approval in principle” for the establishment of Kenya’s first Agriculture and livestock Export Processing Zone (EPZ)

    LTS has been given “approval in principle” for the establishment of the Nation’s first Agriculture and livestock Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Kenya. Once finalized and gazetted, this will provide:

    • LTS with 10-year corporate income tax holiday and a 25% tax rate for a further 10 years thereafter (except for EPZ commercial enterprises)
    • 10 year withholding tax holiday on dividends and other remittances to non-resident parties (except for EPZ commercial license enterprises)
    • Perpetual exemption from VAT and customs import duty on inputs

2018

  1. Contract to undertake a feasibility study in Sudan

    LTS won a contract to undertake a feasibility study that could lead to the development of an OIE-Disease-free Compartment for livestock and a separate livestock quarantine in Sudan. The results of the feasibility study are expected to result in a design, construction supervision, and operations management for LTS.

  2. Contract to develop a “Disease Combat and Control Strategy for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”

    LTS will examine the current livestock, aquatic animal, and poultry disease situation in Saudi Arabia and the attendant risks to the nation’s people, livestock, fish, poultry and aquatic life.

  3. Contract win for Lebanon Slaughterhouse design

    LTS wins contract for Lebanon slaughterhouse design to be truly Halal and permit minimally-stressed livestock ensuring that the meat is soft and tender.

  4. LTS Embraces Oracle Fusion Cloud

    Livestock Trade Services, a start-up in the Livestock export processing and regenerative agriculture sectors has just signed a long-term agreement with Oracle Fusion Cloud as its partner providing a full range of ERP Business Management Software services.

2016

  1. LTS Visits Kenya’s Biosecure Bachuma Livestock Export Quarantine

    In September 2016, the LTS CEO and the Chairman of the Kenya Meat and Exporter’s Association visited the site of the ongoing construction of the Government of Kenya Bachuma Livestock Export Quarantine.

  2. LTS secures Quarantine Management Contract for Oman

    Livestock Trade Services has signed an agreement to Operate and Manage a livestock export quarantine in the Sultanate of Oman for a leading livestock importer and slaughterhouse management company in the UAE.
